New Radiant coach Gerd; he is confident of winning tomorrows game

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant coach Gerd, who watched Victory beating Vyansa 2-0 in the season opening game last night, insisted they are ready to face the reds in the opening game of Cup Winners Cup on Saturday.

The blues are injected with a Finland and Cameroon player and Gerd believes they can do enough to win all three points even though they don’t have Ashfaag and Sobah.

“We prepared well and we got some good players; one from Cameroon and another from Finland. I think we can give a good fight against Victory” Gerd said.

“It’s a big loss that we don’t have Sobah and Ashfaag, but Thoriq and Kokky (Shimaz) will perform well”

“I have seen them (Victory) playing in the season opening game and they are a strong team”

New Radiant is untouched with any major injury and it’s only the returned midfielder Nimal, who is having a minor injury.

“There are no injuries but Nimal (Mummu) is having a minor injury”

Gerd is in no mood to give any comment on a possible outcome of their first appearance but stated they will opt for an attacking game and they don’t want to loose any game.

“We don’t want to loose any game, we want to win all and we don’t have to play defensive”

“We will play an attacking game” the German concluded.
